The Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center (CCFM) will host, on August 9th, from 3pm, the 10th edition of the National Hip-Hop Festival - "Fists in the Air" (FNHPA).
Created in 2016, as a result of a partnership between Nexta-Vida Entertainment, the Gil Vicente Café Bar and the CCFM itself, the Festival is an annual event dedicated to valuing Mozambican Hip-Hop, also promoting a meeting space for artists from several provinces, fostering exchange, joint growth and strengthening ties between Hip-Hop culture makers in the country.
This commemorative edition stands out as special and historic, marking a decade in which the voice of youth was echoed, talents were promoted, identities were strengthened and Hip-Hop was affirmed as a National Unity movement.
To mark this anniversary, a mini-tour took place in April 2025 through the cities of Tete, Chimoio and Beira, in the center of the country. On August 1st, during the launch cocktail of the 10th edition, 34 national figures - from the South, Center and North - who contributed significantly to the growth of Hip-Hop in Mozambique were honored, in a gesture of recognition in life and appreciation of urban culture.
Among those honored are names such as Azagaia, MC Roger, Edmundo Galiza Matos Jr, Rappers Unit, Auto Squad, Beat Keepa, DJ Sidney GM, Zema, Zito Face, DJö (GPro), Kandonga, Stripes Gang, Ceeguemba, Ping Pong Clan, Underground Nasty, among others.
With the All-Star theme, this edition brings together the most outstanding artists from the nine previous editions, from the three regions of the country - South, Center and North - and presents the five fundamental elements of Hip-Hop culture: MC, DJ, Graffiti, Breakdance and Knowledge. The program includes music, poetry, debate, freestyle battle and a fair dedicated to the Hip-Hop universe, reaffirming the festival's commitment to exalting national Hip-Hop.
With this scope, FNHPA reaffirms its status as the largest Hip-Hop Festival in Mozambique, keeping alive its central mission: National Unity.
