The Currency Museum is located in the historic Yellow House, considered the oldest building in Maputo, built in 1860 with Indo-Portuguese architecture. Managed by Eduardo Mondlane University, the museum was inaugurated on June 15, 1981 to celebrate the first anniversary of the creation of the Metical, the Mozambican national currency
