Novel by Mélio Tinga is adapted for theater in a direction by Ramadane Matusse and resumes debate about mental health and mourning. The play "About All Darkness" returns to Maputo stages for its second season, with performances scheduled for August 14, 15, 21 and 22, at 6:00 PM, at the Guimarães Rosa Institute (IGR). The premiere session takes place next Thursday, August 14th, with tickets priced at 150 meticais for students and 250 meticais regular.
The plot follows a man in emotional collapse after the tragic death of his wife, Susana. While trying to recover, he is haunted by memories, hallucinations and the enigmatic entry of a new woman into his life, Filipa. The story revolves around the pain of mourning, guilt, and the complexity of unresolved affections.
